Dear Writer
I hope this finds you well, and writing when you can, and enjoying it.
After thirteen years of part-time involvement with Roscommon County Council Arts Office, specifically its Literary Development Programme, I’m stepping away to do other things. What those other things will be, who knows? Maybe I’ll just slowly slide into a ‘being’ state as opposed to a ‘doing’ state and spend my days in quiet contemplation. In the meantime – at least until I become a fully enlightened being – I’ve decided to send out a monthly letter to all you writers, with details of competitions and their deadlines, journals that are accepting submissions, writing courses and workshops, upcoming readings – that kind of thing. It won’t be anything too extensive or indeed comprehensive, and it won’t look fancy, but I’m hoping there’ll be something of interest in each missive.
