Editing
Gerry is a skilled and experienced editor. He edited the ‘Ireland Series’, an annual, high quality publication, produced in English as ‘This Is Ireland’ and translated and published in French, German and Italian as ‘Rencontres Irlandaises’, ‘Trefpunkt Irland’ and ‘Agenda Irlanda’, respectively.
In 2015, Gerry was editor of ’38 Men Talking’, a book about the lives of 38 men from the Ballaghaderreen and Drumboylan/Arigna regions. The book is still available locally.
In 2018, he edited ‘New Roscommon Writing’, an anthology of contemporary writing by 49 Roscommon writers and published by Roscommon County Council
